She feeds the world Initiative in Colombia

Start Date: 30/09/2023
End Date: 31/12/2023

Description

The Ministry of Agriculture, CARE, and the PepsiCo Foundation have launched the "She Feeds the World" program in Colombia, which aims to address food security and gender inequality in agricultural communities through training and support for rural women to increase their crops and income. This program will have an investment of approximately 6 billion pesos, directly benefiting over 13,000 women and small-scale producers in Nariño and indirectly impacting more than 100,000 people in the region. It is based on the program's four global pillars: ensuring that women have access to and control over their productive resources, access inclusive markets, secure their own and their communities' nutrition, and strengthen local production structures and social support.
