Implementation of circular business models, cleaner production and Circular Economy policies in Ecuador.

Within the framework of the commitments of the Cooperation Agreement No. 22 003. 22 003, the execution of this project will allow MPCEIP staff to provide technical support for: - Construction of national regulatory proposals that incorporate circular economy concepts to strengthen local sustainable development and productive linkages: Two components will be developed; 1) Evaluation guide for the application of circularity criteria in Development Poles and Industrial Parks, 2) Project selection instructions to generate a national portfolio of Circular Investment Projects - (Green Investment Portfolio) in order to promote circular projects in the Single Window for Investments and Commercial Offices Abroad. - Construction of an eco-labeling regulation with emphasis on life cycle analysis for products, based on international standards, as well as the execution of inter-institutional Technical Working Groups with the competent entities, the productive sector and civil society organizations for the validation of the normative proposal. - National diagnosis on the state of implementation of actions related to circularity elements in MSMEs and enterprises, as well as the development of business models and circular initiatives. Content design and implementation of the Circular Economy Platform of Ecuador. - Preparation of circularity and eco-efficiency diagnostics (linked to Cleaner Production) in MSMEs in the 6 pilot provinces of Galapagos, Azuay, Tungurahua, El Oro, Manabí, Napo and Ecuador.
