Development of a model of Business Guidelines for agribusinesses of animal origin sectors.

Fecha de inicio: 09/01/2023
Fecha de fin: 30/12/2023

Description

The project consists of developing a business guide model applicable to the animal-based agroindustrial sectors, which will generate information for entrepreneurs and companies, especially MSMEs, on the technical and legal requirements for setting up and running an animal-based agroindustrial business, such as what to produce and how to produce, personnel, equipment, raw materials, and all the procedures and requirements that must be fulfilled to operate formally in the country. The animal protein sector and in particular the sausage sector in the country has a high rate of informality, causing food insecurity for the consumer of this type of food, since compliance with legal and sanitary requirements is not guaranteed in the processes of storage and transportation of raw materials, processing and marketing. In addition, the actors operating in the informal circuits of the chain represent unfair competition, discouraging formal companies in this economic activity. In this sense, the business guides will provide support to the actors in the selected chain to plan, organize and operate companies according to their line of business, and strengthen them in an efficient and competitive manner.
