Fecha de fin: 31/12/2019

Description

Multilateral project supported by KOICA and executed by the WFP (United Nations World Food Programme) to contribute to efforts to combat malnutrition and to the integral development of agriculture and livestock farming in Ecuador. Support and technical assistance to small farmers for the development of sustainable livelihoods based on ecological agricultural practices that allowed them to increase their production, meet market requirements and thus create sustained sources of income and products for self-consumption. Provision of school utensils to low-income children and development of informative and participatory sessions in the schools to reinforce healthy and nutritious consumption habits for the children. The project received financial support from the local governments of Carchi, Imbabura and Sucumbíos, enabling the WFP to serve a larger number of vulnerable children.
