Description

The program is aimed at promoting research, restoration, and conservation of soils, and the proper use of renewable natural resources, through actions that prevent land degradation, salinization, excessive water extraction, and reduction of agricultural genetic diversity, as well as controlling state territorial reserve areas. Within this program, four (4) subprograms are considered: 1- Generation of Geographic Information: aims to establish mechanisms for deepening the process of generating and utilizing geo-referenced information to guide decision-making. 2- Services for the Control of State Territorial Reserve Areas: the purpose of this activity is to keep records of territorial reserve areas and execute necessary programs for their optimal use and development. 3- Generation of Cartographic Information: through this activity, the responsibility lies in forming, managing, and updating the National Information System. 4- Services for the Improvement of Agricultural Production: through this activity, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food (MAGA) will carry out activities that contribute to strengthening the proper use of natural resources, forest management plans, and implementation of conservation and restoration practices for natural resources.
