Monitoring and Control of the Remediation of Mining Environmental Liabilities (MAP) by the State and private parties responsible.

The project is part of the 0120 Mining Environmental Liabilities Remediation Budget Program. This program addresses the problems related to the existence of mining environmental liabilities (MAP) in Peru that represent a potential risk of environmental contamination and safety. This program has a target population associated with the MAPs that are registered in the inventory, hoping to achieve the remediation of MAPs throughout Peru. The activities of this program include: Identification and Prioritization of mining environmental liabilities for remediation or identification and prioritization of locations for projects 2. Identification of generators and/or responsible for remediation of mining environmental liabilities. 3. Monitoring and control of the remediation projects of mining environmental liabilities in charge of the state4. Follow-up and control of the remediation of mining environmental liabilities in charge of private parties.5. Technical assistance to formulating and evaluating units for the implementation of the projects. Project supervision:The project is managed and executed by the Ministry of Energy and Mines.
