Artisanal fishing agents gain access to technical assistance in good fishing practices

The project is part of Budget Plan 0095 for Strengthening Artisanal Fishing. This budget line addresses the problems associated with low productivity of artisanal fishermen. To address this issue, it is intended to serve artisanal fishermen, both embarked and non-embarked, from the maritime and continental areas, as well as artisanal shipowners. The actions of this budget plan are aimed at increasing the productivity of artisanal fishermen. The activities included in this project are as follows: Technical assistance and training in good fishing practices, sanitary quality and safety. 2. Sanitary monitoring of artisanal fishing activities. 3. Determination of contaminant parameters in seawater or inland waters, drinking water and ice used in artisanal fishing activities. The project is executed by PRODUCE, Ministry of Production, SANIPES, National Fisheries Health Agency, and ITP, Instituto Tecnológico de la Producción.
