Description

The Food Security and Local Development program is framed within the strategy of the National Program for Sustainable Rural and Urban Development (PRONADERS). The lines of work are as follows: Child Feeding Centers: This initiative aims to reduce childhood malnutrition rates by constructing equipped facilities for food preparation. This project includes a pedagogical garden to ensure its long-term sustainability. Integrated Productive Gardens: This program aims to provide students and families with access to new agricultural practices and technologies that enable them to improve productivity and income in their households. Water Harvesting Systems: Through water harvesting systems, the program aims to contribute to meeting the water demand of producers during the production cycle. Grain Storage Silos: This initiative seeks to promote the processing and commercialization of staple grains by providing silos for handling and storage.
