Technology Transfer Program in Honduras (DICTA)

This program is responsible for carrying out actions to transmit knowledge to producers at the national level on basic crop technologies, vegetables and fruit trees, agro-industrial crops, flowers, and ornamentals. The Agricultural Technology Transfer program is subdivided into two strategic areas: Productive Technologies and Producer Support Technologies. In productive technologies, it specializes by technical area or crop: Basic Grains: responsible for dissemination, training, technical assistance, and monitoring of corn, bean, rice, and sorghum crops. Vegetables and Roots and Tubers: responsible for dissemination, training technical assistance and monitoring in vegetable and root and tuber crops. Fruit trees: responsible for dissemination, training, technical assistance and monitoring of fruit tree crops. Livestock: responsible for dissemination, training, technical assistance and monitoring in livestock. Agroindustrial Crops: responsible for dissemination, training, technical assistance and monitoring of agroindustrial crops. The Producer Support Services technologies include: Rural Organization: Responsible for promoting rural organization, training, organizational technical assistance and the legality of organizations. Business Management: Responsible for providing business technical assistance to organizations or businesses formed to improve their productivity and competitiveness. Producer Financing: Responsible for managing available trusts and promoting, monitoring and providing technical assistance to producers in matters supported by the fund. Gender and Rural Youth.
