Project Development of water resources for agricultural use

The project is part of Budget Plan 0042, which is aimed at promoting the development of water resources for agricultural use. This project addresses the problems associated with the inefficient use of water resources for agricultural use. Serving agricultural producers located in the districts of the following departments that meet the targeting criteria: Ayacucho, Cusco, Huancavelica, Huánuco, Junín, Puno, Áncash, Apurímac, Cajamarca, Arequipa, La Libertad, Ica, Piura, Lambayeque and Lima. The project also aims to improve the efficiency of water resource use for agricultural purposes. The activities of this project include; 1. Technical assistance to agricultural producers in irrigation practices. 2. Raising awareness of agricultural producers for the use of water resources for agricultural use. 3. Capacity building for farmers. 4. Development of studies oriented to the producer for the efficient use of water resources. 5. Capacity building for agricultural producers in proper irrigation practices and choice of the crop cultivation method according to the availability of water for irrigation. 6. Technical irrigation program. This project is led at the national level by the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation of Peru (MIDAGRI) and the National Water Authority (ANA).
