Description

The National Irrigated Agriculture Program (PRONAGRI) focuses on providing technical assistance to micro, small and medium agricultural and livestock producers, through the organization, operation and maintenance of irrigation systems, soil analysis, concrete, hydraulics, plant physiology and the provision of irrigation services in state districts nationwide, in order to contribute to diversify and increase agricultural production and productivity, improving the level of income and quality of life of producers. The Irrigated Agricultural Development Project is part of this program and is made up of the following components: 1. Rehabilitation, Construction and Modernization of Irrigation Areas; 2. This project includes the rehabilitation and construction of pipelines, irrigation infrastructure and dams, as well as technical assistance in agricultural diversification, environmental management, and local organization and development. The PDABR is implemented in the departments of Yoro, Comayagua, Copan, and Intibucá.
