Upscaling Ecosystem Based Climate Resilience of Vulnerable Rural Communities in the Valles Macro-region of the Plurinational State of Bolivia (RECEM-Valles)

Fecha de inicio: 28/02/2023
Fecha de fin: 31/12/2028

Description

The RECEM-Valles project aims to improve the climate resilience of smallholder farmers, ecosystems and infrastructure in the Valles macro-region by expanding the Bolivian government's pre-existing Mi Riego initiative. It will implement comprehensive and participatory micro-watershed management activities, including building the capacities of farmers to manage their agroecosystems sustainably and providing them with access to credit that allows them to invest in modernized irrigation systems on climate-resilient farms. The project will also strengthen national and subnational governance systems to support climate risk management by smallholder farmers and their communities.
