Description
The Jungle Fund is an open fund that will provide financing and technical assistance to invest in bioeconomy activities, forest products, and raw material value chains for small and medium-sized enterprises. The bioeconomy activities are expected to contribute to the protection and restoration of the Amazon rainforest while supporting sustainable livelihoods for local communities in the Amazon regions of Brazil, Colombia, Peru and Ecuador. The structure of the fund has been designed to be part of a broader SDG Bond Program with 6 other blended finance impact funds and will seek to mobilize additional private finance through capital markets.
