Description

an Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) project implemented by the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) with support by Caribbean Biodiversity Fund (CBF). The University of Florida (UF) has partnered on the project, The project addresses the degradation of marine-coastal ecosystems and the vulnerable livelihoods in specific Caribbean communities facing threats due to development and climate change. The project focuses on three main areas: capacity building for ecosystem restoration, field implementation of nature-based approaches like Vetiver Systems, and knowledge management for community awareness and education. The ultimate goal of the project is to restore the health of the ecosystems.
