Climate change adaptation: water harvesting in lake micro-basins of Phausihuaycco, Huillcamayo, Kenqonay, Quehuayllo, Huancallo and Rajachac in the middle Apurimac river basin

Public investment project to reduce water scarcity during the dry season in six lake micro-basins of the middle Apurimac river basin, in the Paruro and Acomayo provinces (Cusco). It combines afforestation and reforestation with native species, soil conservation with infiltration ditches and damming of eight lakes, together with strengthening of community organizations in water resource management and awareness-raising and training, with 4,250 direct beneficiaries.
