Sustainable management of water harvesting in high Andean lake ecosystems in the Vilcanota - Urubamba - Calca basin

Public investment project to increase the water capacity of high Andean lake ecosystems in the Vilcanota basin, in the Urubamba and Calca provinces (Cusco). It combines soil management, afforestation and reforestation with native species, recovery of degraded areas and damming of lakes with watershed treatment, together with strengthening of community organizations and awareness-raising and training, with 9,208 direct beneficiaries.
