Description

A short-term agricultural training program for professionals from middle-income countries, emerging markets, and emerging democracies. Activities strengthen agricultural systems, trade, agribusiness, management, public policy, marketing, food safety, and sanitary and phytosanitary systems through training coordinated with United States universities, public agencies, businesses, and specialists.

Observations

The program has operated since 1984 and is administered by FAS. Participants come from both the public and private sectors. The recorded budget relates exclusively to the FY2026 opportunity: USD 1,050,000, seven expected awards, and a maximum of USD 150,000 per award. No counterpart contribution is required.
