The Sustainable Atlantic Rainforest Development Project (Parceiros da Mata, Brasil)

Rural development project implemented in the State of Bahia, Brazil, aimed at strengthening the livelihoods of family farmers and rural communities through resilient production systems, environmental restoration, water security, rural sanitation, technical assistance, institutional strengthening and knowledge management. The intervention supports productive development plans and business plans, investments in productive and community infrastructure, agroecological and agroforestry practices, ecosystem restoration, and actions targeting women, young people, and traditional peoples and communities. The project is co-financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development, the Inter-American Development Bank and the Government of the State of Bahia.
