Description
The Institutional Strengthening project was designed to enhance the capacity of Guyana’s national institutions to implement the Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS) and the REDD+ partnership. It focused on strengthening the Office of Climate Change (OCC), the Project Management Office (PMO), and the Guyana Forestry Commission (GFC).
Observations
Its scope included establishing a robust monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) system, developing environmental and social safeguards, and enhancing the coordination and management of GRIF-funded projects.
