Start Date: 2024
End Date: N/A

Description

It is a web-based platform designed to support coastal zone management in Guyana. It provides local authorities, researchers, and stakeholders with near real-time satellite data analysis through four key modules: Shoreline Analysis, Coastal Squeeze, Bathymetry Change, and Flood Detection and Modelling

Observations

The system integrates diverse geospatial datasets, advanced modeling techniques, and machine learning algorithms within Google Earth Engine (GEE). It is an open-access monitoring system intended to capture and analyze coastal dynamics to aid in disaster risk management and climate change adaptation. The project is supported by a grant titled PEGASuS 5 (Beyond Predicting: Social-Ecological Solutions for a Sustainable)
