PROCARIBE+ Project

UNDP/GEF/UNOPS regional project that seeks to protect, restore and leverage the coastal and marine natural capital of the Caribbean Large Marine Ecosystems and the North Brazil Shelf to catalyze investments in a sustainable, climate-resilient blue economy. The project is structured around four components: regional coordination and collaboration (including operationalization of the Ocean Coordination Mechanism), national enabling conditions, actions across all sectors of society (grants, blue carbon, marine spatial planning, seafood traceability and fisheries), and knowledge management and exchange. It is the successor to the CLME and CLME+ projects and contributes to implementing the 10-year regional Strategic Action Programme.
