Improvement of Technical and Productive Capacities to Enhance the Competitiveness of Alpaca Breeders in the Communities of Azafrán, San Miguel, Patacancha and Lircayccasa, Congalla District, Angaraes Province, Department of Huancavelica

Public investment project aimed at improving the yield and quality of alpaca fiber among breeding families in four communities of the district of Congalla (Angaraes, Huancavelica, Peru). It includes genetic improvement campaigns through crossbreeding with improved Huacaya and Suri breeding males, the technification of animal husbandry through technical assistance and training, the management of natural grasslands and high-Andean wetlands with the establishment of perennial pastures on demonstration plots, and the strengthening of alpaca producer organizations in business management and market linkage.
