Start Date: 2021
End Date: 2028

Description

The SCALA programme (Scaling up Climate Ambition on Land Use and Agriculture) supports Colombia in implementing its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and the Sectoral Climate Change Management Plan (PIGCCS) for agriculture. It promotes climate change adaptation and mitigation in priority value chains such as rice, maize, cocoa, livestock and sugar, through vulnerability assessments, ecosystem restoration, institutional capacity building, monitoring and evaluation tools, and participation of local and indigenous communities. SCALA is funded by Germany’s International Climate Initiative (IKI) and implemented jointly by FAO and UNDP.
