General State Budget of El Salvador 2023

The General State Budget of El Salvador 2023 amounts to US$8,902.7 million and constitutes the fiscal policy instrument through which the Government's Development Plan is executed. This budget comprises the estimation of State revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year from January 1 to December 31, 2023. Resources are primarily allocated to education, health, public security, infrastructure, territorial development, and essential public services. The formulation is carried out under the Budget by Management Areas approach which includes: Administrative Leadership, Justice Administration and Citizen Security, Social Development, Economic Development Support, and Public Debt. The budget seeks to satisfy the population's needs through the provision of public goods and services financed with tax revenues, non-tax revenues, external and internal financing, and special contributions.
