National Program to Support Fruit Production

The Program aims to increase apple, peach, avocado, and custard apple production to meet domestic consumption and reduce imports. It is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Food (MDRyT) and is executed by its decentralized units in its four components: INIAF executes the innovation and technology transfer component; SENASAG executes the plant health and safety component; EMPODERAR executes the production component; and IPDSA executes the technical assistance and market component. The program covers 48 municipalities located in the departments of La Paz, Potosí, Santa Cruz, Tarija, Chuquisaca, and Cochabamba.
