National Program for Tubers and Roots

The Program seeks to improve the productive conditions of potato and cassava crops, to deseasonalize production and increase supply in the national market through the replacement of new varieties. This is a national program, operating in a range of eco-regions, reaching producers and producer associations, in some cases with the participation of their municipal governments. The Program consists of three components, which are executed by decentralized entities: IPDSA executes the Production, Post-Harvest, and Market component; INIAF executes the Genetic Resources, Research, and Production of High-Quality Seeds component; and SENASAG executes the Plant Health component
