Description

The Program is part of the National Development Plan "Bolivia Dignified, Sovereign, Productive and Democratic for a Good Life," which seeks to reduce dependence on imported products through the development of national production and the creation of added value. The Program was created by Supreme Decree 4008 of August 2019 with the aim of increasing the income of Indigenous and intercultural communities through the sustainable use of forest resources (chestnut, asai, copoazu, and majo). The Program is under the responsibility of the Ministry of Rural Development and Lands (MDRyT) and is implemented by its implementing entities according to the following components: 1) Technological development and innovation (Agricultural and Forestry Innovation Institute (INIAF); 2) Plant health (National Agricultural Health and Food Safety Service (SENASAG); 3) Production and post-harvest (EMPODERAR PAR); 4) Technical assistance and market (Decentralized Public Institution for Food Sovereignty IPDSA) in the departments of Pando, Beni and La Paz.

Observations

The Program was created by Supreme Decree No. 4008 with a five-year budget of Bs. 90,390,875 (ninety million three hundred ninety thousand eight hundred seventy-five 00/100 Bolivianos).
