Description

The Plan is part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals and the Nationally Determined Contributions. The Plan is a medium-term planning document of the Ministry of Environment and Water that establishes the planning and management for the environmental and water resources sector in Bolivia. This document proposes three sectoral policies and six guidelines: P1: Efficient, effective, and participatory governance for water. L1: Planning and institutional framework for governance. L2: Transboundary basin management. P2: Knowledge management, science, and technology for water. L1: Monitoring, research, and technology for water. L2: Capacity development for water literacy and water management in basins. P3: Productive, resilient, and environmentally sustainable investments with a basin approach. L1: Water management in basins for climate resilience. L2: Irrigation with technological innovation for productive and food sovereignty.

Observations

The Development Plan covers three areas: Water Resources, Sanitation, and the Environment. Sanitation is excluded from this platform.
