Fecha de inicio: 18/10/2021
Fecha de fin: 31/12/2030

Description

The ABC+ Plan is an update of Brazil's Sectoral Plan for Adaptation and Low Carbon Emission in Agriculture and Livestock, which aims to reduce carbon emissions by 1,100 million tons by 2030, representing a sevenfold increase compared to the original plan. It intends to introduce sustainable production technologies in 72.68 million hectares in Brazil, increase the volume of treated animal waste by 208.4 million cubic meters, and increase to 5 million the number of cattle fattened using the intensive pasture finishing method. It establishes a comprehensive approach to productive areas, preserving as much land as possible and complying with the Forest Code, maintaining soil health, and conserving water and biodiversity. The ABC+ Plan provides for the promotion of eight forms of technology including the recovery of degraded areas, forest planting, animal waste treatment, and integrated production systems.
