Start Date: 2024
End Date: N/A

Description

The Latin American Bioeconomy Network, made up of more than 60 institutions from ten countries and with IICA as the Technical and Executive Secretariat, agreed - with the support of UNESCO - on the Guiding Principles of the LATAM Bioeconomy. This framework seeks to guide governments, businesses, academia and international cooperation in promoting a bioeconomy that will foster more sustainable, inclusive and competitive development in the region. Thanks to its biological wealth, productive capacities and cultural diversity, Latin America has the potential to lead this approach, closing social, economic and environmental gaps.
