Socio-economic reactivation project for families linked to the sugarcane-panela production chain in the subtropics of Pichincha, Cotopaxi and Bolívar

Project that seeks to improve the living conditions of sugarcane-growing families through an agroecological model that protects the environment, the strengthening of solidarity-based marketing, and the linkage of fair trade with responsible consumption. It operates through improvements in cane production and yields, variety validation plots, organic certification, training in good manufacturing practices, strengthening of the management and coordination of cane-grower organizations, and an inter-provincial advocacy network.
