(Es) (Ecuador) Project to promote more sustainable consumption and production patterns through EcoAdvance

The project supports Type I ecolabels and climate-responsive sustainable public procurement to encourage more sustainable consumption and production in high-impact sectors such as food systems, construction, mobility, electronics, textiles, infrastructure, and mining. To do so, it addresses the complexity of publicly communicating the environmental impact of products and services, which is a significant barrier to changing people's behavior. EcoAdvance is a regional project focused on activities in the LAC region. The implementing partners are the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), which plays a leading role in ecolabeling activities, and the Öko-Institut, which provides strategic, technical, and methodological advice to project partners and relevant stakeholders.
