NFTrees for conservation

The project seeks to expand the NFTrees digital system of the "Zero Carbon" Program to deliver monetary incentives for conservation and forest restoration to various landowners in the Andean Chocó Biosphere Reserve through an "offline-to-online" interface that facilitates the transition of rural communities to digital governance of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs). The initiative incorporates the value of biodiversity into carbon footprint compensation, becoming the first model in Ecuador with a comprehensive approach that combines biodiversity with a digital carbon trading system. The project uses blockchain technology and Regen Network's community participation model to ensure direct benefits to forest owners and greater transparency.
