IDB Invest is the private sector investment arm of the Inter-American Development Bank Group (IDB Group), a multilateral development bank committed to promoting the economic development of its member countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. It has a portfolio of USD 12.44 billion in assets under management and 342 clients in 24 countries. It invests in sectors such as social infrastructure in health and education, tourism, manufacturing, water and sanitation, agribusiness, transportation, energy, the digital economy, financial institutions, and investment funds. Its investments are fully committed to sustainability and strategic objectives, as they are aligned with the Paris Agreement starting in 2023. Among other objectives, they seek to reduce poverty and inequality, and address climate change.
