Alianza Federación Nacional de Cafeteros (FNC) y NESPRESSO para implementación en Colombia del Programa AAA Sustainable Quality (EN)

The program was created globally in 2003 by Nespresso in collaboration with the Rainforest Alliance, as a response to the long-term systemic risks in the high-quality coffee supply chain. It serves more than 100,000 coffee farmers across 13 countries and is part of the company’s sustainability strategy, The Positive Cup, which is based on the belief that producing great coffee should result from initiatives that protect communities, the climate, and circularity. As of 2024, the program is grounded in the principles of regenerative agriculture, applying techniques that harness nature’s ability to heal and regenerate itself. The goal for 2030 is for 95% of the coffee consumed by the company to be sourced through these practices, thereby also contributing to the company’s target of reaching net-zero emissions by 2035. Additionally, through the program, Nespresso promotes inclusion and gender equality.
