The Sectoral Committees are dialogue and consensus-building spaces where the productive, academic, and governmental sectors participate with the aim of identifying the training needs of workers in productive sectors to enhance competitiveness. There are 85 Sectoral Committees, of which 20 belong to the agricultural sector, 29 to industry, and 36 to the commerce and services sector. They are convened by the National Training Service (SENA), a national public entity under the Ministry of Labor. SENA provides comprehensive vocational training to support the integration and development of individuals in productive activities that contribute to the country’s social, economic, and technological development. It is an initiative of the Directorate of the National Training System for Work. The Agroindustry of Panela Sectoral Committee supports the development of innovation and the generation of new technologies throughout the sector to strengthen exports and ensure that producers receive a fair price for their product
