FP060 - Water Sector Resilience for Sustainability in Barbados (WSRN S-Barbados)

The WSRN S-Barbados project seeks to ensure a sustainable and resilient water supply through the implementation of renewable energy, rainwater harvesting and storage, and improvements in water management. In response to the impact of climate change, which will affect water supply due to more intense storms, solar energy and natural gas systems will be installed for pumping stations. In addition, a water sector master plan will be developed and climate resilience actions will be implemented. An adaptation fund financed by operational savings will support water conservation and promote public awareness of its sustainable use.
