Support for Sustainable Forest Development for Wellbeing 2024

The budgetary program S219 – Support for Sustainable Forest Development (Pp S219), originated in 2016 from the merger of two subsidy programs: S219 – National Forest Program – Payment for Environmental Services, and U036 – National Forest Program – Forest Development. This change resulted from public administration reforms aimed at greater efficiency and reduced dispersion of interventions. In July 2022, it was renamed “S219 – Sustainable Forest Development for Wellbeing,” highlighting its focus on contributing to the wellbeing of the population through sustainable forest development and the articulation of its components according to economic, environmental, and social dimensions.
