Description

The AgriBioMex Project, funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (AGRICULTURA), aims to integrate biodiversity into rural landscape management through sustainable policies and practices in the agricultural sector. With a budget of 10 million USD and a counterpart of 70 million USD, the project will cover nearly 900,000 hectares dedicated to agriculture, promoting sustainable agricultural practices in 500,000 hectares and initiating restoration processes in 63,000 hectares of terrestrial landscapes. Its implementation is planned between 2024 and 2029, focusing on six main landscapes distributed across various states of Mexico.
