Fecha de inicio: 18/02/2022
Fecha de fin: 31/07/2027

Description

The project contributes to sustainably increasing the economic empowerment of 15,000 women, men and youth in the coffee and honey value chains in Honduras, with the aim of supporting economic recovery in a context of pandemic, socio-economic shocks and climate change. Project activities include implementing a fair land access program for women and youth, providing training in education, financial management and leadership with a focus on women's rights and positive masculinities, and establishing productive agroforestry systems. In addition, it seeks to create a social enterprise based on responsible private investments and train associative and social enterprises in good governance and inclusive management practices through the PerformCoop program, as well as improve the quality of products for sale. An innovative marketing and commercialization strategy will also be developed, along with a microcredit and climate financing program. The project includes the creation of a coordination mechanism to foster an inclusive business environment, sensitive to gender and environmental challenges, and will implement communication and advocacy mechanisms for the economic empowerment of women and youth, in collaboration with local and national actors.
