Implementation of Sustainable Agroforestry Systems for Cocoa Plantations

Project that strengthens sustainable agricultural production systems on cocoa farms to reduce pressure on the expansion of the agricultural frontier and generate income for smallholder farmers. It introduces agroforestry systems with native forest species in cocoa plantations in five departments (Caquetá, Meta, Santander, Arauca and Boyacá), provides agroforestry extension services with a gender approach, strengthens producer organizations and marketing plans to access differentiated markets, and funds small grants to organizations.
