Ecuador's REDD+ Action Plan “Forests for Good Living” (2016-2025) is an essential component of the National Climate Change Strategy and a reflection of the country's commitment to reduce deforestation and associated greenhouse gas emissions. It has been generated within a collaborative work process of several years, coordinated by the Ministry of Environment - as the National REDD+ Authority - with the support of government institutions, civil society actors and international cooperation.
