Fecha de inicio: 01/03/2024
Fecha de fin: 01/03/2028

Description

The project seeks to increase the productivity of dairy systems in the regions of Cauca in Colombia and Manabí in Ecuador through the implementation of climate-smart production strategies. This project, executed by various universities and research institutions in collaboration with the private sector, aims to improve the efficiency of dairy production, mitigate the effects of climate change and promote food security in these regions. The actions include the nutritional characterization of dairy systems, the implementation of sustainable practices and the development of technologies that allow greater profitability and sustainability of livestock activities. Upon completion, it is expected to improve dairy productivity by at least 20%, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and strengthen local capacities for more resilient and eco-efficient livestock farming, thus contributing to the economic and social well-being of the communities involved.
