Description

The Comprehensive Rural Development and Productivity Project in Honduras (HO-L1201 and HO-L1211) has the general objective of sustainably increasing the income of rural households in the Dry Corridor of Honduras, seeking to improve productive development in the area through of the provision of technologies, productive technical assistance and access to financing for the beneficiary population. The project is designed to address the specific needs of 30,000 rural households, aiming to lift 15,000 of them out of poverty through a comprehensive and sustainable intervention. The project consists of several key components. First, strengthening productive development, which includes support for the adoption of climate-smart technologies and comprehensive technical assistance to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of value chains. Second, it focuses on access to financing, providing resources through credits and guarantees to facilitate productive and technological investments. This combined approach of technical assistance and financial support is designed to foster productivity and environmental sustainability, aligning with national and international strategies for rural development and poverty reduction.
