Description

The "High Yield Corn Planting" (SMAR) project is a government initiative that seeks to innovate agricultural services to improve the yield and profitability of corn cultivation. Implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock with advice from a specialized company, the program offers immediate access to agricultural mechanization services to producers, allowing them to adopt a new production model and methodology. The program includes more than 120 types of machinery, such as tractors, forage harvesters, and drones, that are available to farmers. In addition, the program seeks to create the necessary infrastructure to ensure comprehensive services such as technical assistance and marketing, under a contract farming model.
