Description
The Regional Technical Cooperation Project for Training in Agricultural Policies and Rural Development in Latin America (FODEPAL) aims to contribute fundamentally to the agricultural and rural development of Latin America through an improvement in the region's capacities in the analysis, formulation, and monitoring of policies and programs in four thematic areas: a) Food Security, b) International Agricultural Trade, c) Rural Development and Poverty, and d) Sustainable Management of Natural Resources.
Observations
The project was initiated in 2001 and had a mid-term evaluation in 2003. The Final Evaluation that motivates this report was carried out between June 20th and July 20th, 2007. The FAO established the official start date of the Project as March 12, 2001, and its termination, following the extension with a second phase, was planned for December 2007.
