Start Date: 01/01/2020
End Date: 01/01/2023

Description

The project Development of inspection and surveillance activities to improve the exercise of fishing activity and aquaculture at the national level managed by the National Aquaculture and Fisheries Authority (AUNAP) of Colombia, has the general objective of improving fishing practices and aquaculture throughout the country. The justification for the project lies in the need to strengthen control mechanisms to ensure rational exploitation of fishing resources and reduce the risk associated with the introduction of exotic and potentially invasive species. Among these activities, the implementation of control operations to ensure adherence to fishing regulations, active participation in the formulation of management and control measures, and the development and monitoring of processes and procedures relevant to fishing activity stand out.
