Research - innovation of technological alternatives for the competitiveness and sustainability of rice cultivation in Chiriqui

Rice is a fundamental component of the basic food basket in Panama, especially in the province of Chiriqui, where it represents a significant part of the economy and social development. Given its importance for food security, it is crucial to improve crop productivity by implementing new technologies and integrated management practices. This project focuses on building on accumulated experience and fostering collaboration among rice producers and associations to develop and implement strategies to boost the productivity, competitiveness and sustainability of rice production in the Chiriqui region.
