Support project to generate opportunities for rural youth for their generational integration in the national field in Colombia

The project sought to address the lack of opportunities for rural youth, encouraging them to remain in the countryside. By strengthening transition mechanisms from secondary to higher education in rural areas, the project proposed articulating support in training and sustainable rural development, promotion of international exchanges, development of guidelines for rural mobility and school transportation, and the promotion of the inclusion of local producers and marketers in school feeding programs. With a national focus and special attention on the Orinoquía region and the department of Meta, thousands of young people benefited, facilitating their access to higher education in agricultural topics and improving training environments in rural educational institutions.
