Start Date: 01/01/2016
End Date: 31/12/2024

Description

The Dry Corridor Food Security Project in Honduras focuses on improving the food and nutritional security of vulnerable households, through three key components: the first promotes food production and income generation among poor rural inhabitants of 25 municipalities , through agricultural and non-agricultural activities; the second promotes nutritional education and hygiene in homes, specifically among pregnant women, lactating women and children under five years of age, to improve their food consumption and nutritional status; and the third is dedicated to monitoring, evaluating and managing the project, including the supervision of activities, conducting audits, baseline, intermediate and impact evaluations, in addition to covering operating costs. This comprehensive approach aims to achieve sustained improvement in food and nutritional security in one of the most vulnerable regions of Honduras.
